The 2002 Milwaukie Center Raffle Quilt was won by Julia Faircloth. What a wonderful name for the person winning our beautiful quilt!! When Julia received the telephone call saying she had won, she thought it was a prank call because she has never won anything before. She bought one ticket. Congratulations, Julia!

The quilt on display at "Quilting Delights" |
This year's queen-size Raffle Quilt is a sample quilt of traditional quilt block patterns made with reproduction fabrics, which fits with the theme of this year's show, "Timeless Treasures".
The quilt has twelve different patterned blocks alternating with plain blocks, set on point, with green sashing and a floral border.
The top was made by Barbara Lamb with blocks from a "First Saturday" program at a local shop, "The Quilt Block". Barbara had a bit of help from the members of the small quilt group, Quilter's Health Club, which meets on Monday afternoons at the Milwaukie Center.
The quilt was machine-quilted by Susan Ainsworth-Smith of Quilted Treasures, Hand-Guided Quilting.
These are a few of the blocks from the Raffle Quilt.
