"'Liberty Rose' is an original design that I based on an antique quilt in the book 'Nebraska Quilts and Quilt Makers'. I love this quilt's cheery evocation of American patriotism and the spirit of its red border. Although old-fashioned in design, the quilt uses modern applique and quilting techniques making it red, white, and new."
Katherine's prize was Garden City Patterns "Block of the Month".
