Special Exhibit
Featuring DeLoris Stude
This year's Special Exhibit will feature quilts made by DeLoris Stude, a very accomplished local quilter, long-time quilt teacher, founder of the West Coast Quilters' Conference, and owner of "Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt Shop", which was located at 45th and Fremont.
This Special Exhibit is in honor of DeLoris Stude's 90th Birthday.
We are planning to show "The Oregon Quilt", which DeLoris was instrumental in creating. The quilt will be on loan from the Oregon Historical Society.
Some of the quilts on exhibit during our show will be from DeLoris' personal collection, and others will be on loan from the Latimer Museum in Tillamook, Oregon.
DeLoris Stude and Mary Bywater Cross will be at the Quilt Show at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2003 for a "Sit-and-Chat" session.
Questions for DeLoris from the audience are welcome.
If you have any stories about DeLoris or Herb Stude, please come to the show and share them, or forward them to the Quilt Show Committee or to Mary Bywater Cross.
Also, if you have quilts made during any of DeLoris' many classes, please bring them to share or email us about them.
